This is a COCONUT OIL-FREE moisturising, conditioning and creamy shampoo bar. Enriched with organic cocoa and shea butters which protect the hair and penetrate to provide nourishment. The lather is rich and creamy with the natural scent of cocoa butter.
It also includes Red Lava Clay which reduces dryness in the hair while also removing toxins and product buildup. It improve hair’s elasticity and unblocks your scalp’s pores. It reduces flakiness and aids in detangling and leaves your hair soft and moisturised.

+ ORGANIC WILDCRAFTED SOAPNUTS have been used in Ayurvedic medicine for centuries to treat sensitive skin, eczema, hair and scalp problems. Soapnuts have skin & hair softening properties, as well as a mild anti-bacterial and anti-microbial function and because of this they have been used in Ayurveda to treat infections, and to help keep the skin/scalp free from bacteria.
+ ORGANIC COCOA BUTTER is a great skin & hair moisturiser. Makes hair more manageable, can help to replenish lost oils and help prevent breakage. Great for fine hair.
+ RED LAVA CLAY has high concentrations of essential minerals like iron, magnesium, calcium, potassium, silica and sodium. These elements aid the detoxification process. The clarifying ability of the clay gets rid of any dead skin cells and build up and leaves the hair shiny and voluminous.
+ ORGANIC SHEA possesses anti-inflammatory qualities and helps protect the hair. Being rich in vitamins A and E, it soothes dryness and repairs damage. Hence, it is extremely effective in providing relief against dry skin, dermatitis, eczema and psoriasis.
HOW TO USE:
Comb out dry hair before shampooing. Do not miss this step, especially if you use styling products.
Wet bar and lather in hands, apply lather to hair. Or alternatively rub bar directly onto hair and lather well (this works well for me - mid/long length hair).*
*When using the bars, one thing that is very important is to lather the soap up really well, and to use lots of lather when washing your hair. The most common spot, especially for people with long hair, is at the back of the head. You need to work the shampoo into your hair with water and lather up so that the dirt and extra oils not needed by your hair can be washed away.
If you are used to using normal commercial shampoo and shampoo twice, you will notice that the second wash produces a lot more lather. The first wash is mixing with the dirt and excess oil in your hair so the second wash is working on cleaner hair. The same is true for our shampoo bars. So lather up, once or twice. But please make sure to rinse every single time! And then make sure to use an apple cider vinegar hair rinse!
Massage lather into roots and through lengths of hair. Rinse out thoroughly.
You can also make your own hair rinses from water/cooled herbal tea (e.g. chamomile/nettle) with either lemon or apple cider vinegar mix. Ratio should be 4:1 (e.g. 200ml water/50ml apple cider vinegar).
Some find it helpful, to use the apple cider vinegar/herbal hair rinse conditioner before you wash your hair with the shampoo bars. Apply to hair, comb through and rinse out. Then follow shampoo steps above.
Prolong the life of your soap by not leaving soap in a soggy soap dish, or in an area where water is constantly flowing. Allow the bar to dry in between uses.

+ BRAHMI/GOTU KOLA is regarded as perhaps the most spiritual of all herbs in India. Growing in some areas of the Himalayas, gotu kola is used by yogis to improve meditation. It is said to develop the crown chakra, the energy center at the top of the head and is called the herb of enlightenment. Gotu kola also has a long history, with use in Chinese and Ayurvedic medicine for promoting wound healing. The types of triterpenoid compounds gotu kola contains are believed to strengthen the skin and increase antioxidant production.
+AMLA is used in oil infused tonics or in powder form to provide added strength to hair roots, to add shine, encourage hair growth and addresses premature greying. In skin care, face masks using Amla paste provides nourishment and reduces dullness. It is also a rich source of essential fatty acids that serve to keep the hair follicles strong and nourish the hair from the roots. When it is blended with Tulsi it is a very effective anti-dandruff treatment.
+ SHIKAKAI is very high in vitamin C as well as vitamins A, D, E, and K, antioxidants which are essential for healthy and rapid hair growth. These vitamins provide the hair follicles with the necessary micronutrients to help hair grow fast and healthy. Shikakai has very low pH levels, which means your hair won’t be stripped of its natural oils and also works as a natural detangler.
+ MAKA In Ayurveda, the herb is used for treating hair loss, improving hair texture, and to stop premature balding and graying and various skin allergies. Alopecia sufferers will also find bhringraj to be beneficial in promoting hair regrowth. Even without suffering any ailments, bhringraj aids in luxurious hair growth. In Ayurveda, using oils such as coconut or sesame oil to blend with the powder, has been used to help with baldness and regrowth of hair.
+ NEEM is known in Ayurveda for its powerful effectiveness in fighting diseases. Its properties are naturally antibacterial, antifungal, and antiviral. In hair care, neem promotes shiny, healthy hair, combats dryness of scalp, and fights scalp infections and dandruff. Undiluted neem oil will help treat head lice.
+ ORGANIC HIBISCUS is known as one of the best secrets to beautiful and healthy hair. Hibiscus promotes hair growth, stops hair fall, gives hair a healthy luster with bounce, and delays premature graying. Hibiscus has been a wonderful ingredient in hair treatments that combine other Ayurvedic herbs such as Amla and brahmi.
HOW TO USE AS A MASK: Mix equal amounts of ayurvedic herbal hair mask powder and liquid* to form a paste (yoghurt like consistency). Massage paste into hair and scalp, leave treatment on as long as possible. Rinse out paste thoroughly and wash as normal.

OILY HAIR: Citrus floral water / apple cider viengar / water with lemon / yoghurt (vegan or otherwise).
DRY HAIR: Coconut milk / yoghurt (vegan or otherwise) / aloe vera juice / and add a few drops of our Hair Oil (or other oil - avocado, almond, hemp, coconut).

+ VEGAN CHOCOLATE STOUT is the beer we use. Beer is a great hair conditioner, but did you know it is also great at dealing with dandruff and nourishing your hair? It has been used to treat skin conditions and has been said to fight the signs of ageing, maintain the skin's pH balance and can help treat acne!
+ BAY LAUREL OIL has been known for generations for it's healing qualities and also as an amazing natural moisturiser. It is great for helping skin cells to regenerate and to help soften hardened skin. Bay will also help promote wound healing, and has been used for a variety of allergies and skin ailments because of it's anti-oxidant and antiseptic properties.
