Regenerative & Healing. Bay Laurel oil has been known for generations for it's healing qualities and also as an amazing natural moisturiser. It is great for helping skin cells to regenerate and to help soften hardened skin. Bay will also help promote wound healing, and has been used for a variety of allergies and skin ailments because of it's anti-oxidant and antiseptic properties. It has been said that bay also helps prevent hair loss and aids in the recovery of skin diseases. This wonderfully fragrant soap can be used on body, as a shaving soap and as a shampoo on very fine hair.
GREAT FOR: Gently cleansing. Skin prone to eczema or psoriasis, sensitive skin, troubled or scarred skin. Can also be used as a soap/shampoo for babies or for fine hair, and as a shaving soap.
HOW TO USE: Wet bar and lather in hands or sponge. Apply to wet skin, wash and rinse out.
Prolong the life of your soap by not leaving soap in a soggy soap dish, or in an area where water is constantly flowing. Allow the bar to dry in between uses.

All of our soaps are made with 100% natural, Vegan ingredients and lovingly crafted at our cottage in the Herefordshire countryside.
We use the cold process method when making all our soaps and also a process called super-fatting. Doing this allows us to keep the free oils and the naturally occurring glycerine. This is what makes them so exceptionally moisturising.

+ VEGAN CHOCOLATE STOUT is the beer we use. Beer is a great hair conditioner, but did you know it is also great at dealing with dandruff and nourishing your hair? It has been used to treat skin conditions and has been said to fight the signs of ageing, maintain the skin's pH balance and can help treat acne!
+ BAY LAUREL OIL has been known for generations for it's healing qualities and also as an amazing natural moisturiser. HOW TO USE:
Comb out dry hair before shampooing. Do not miss this step, especially if you use styling products.
Wet bar and lather in hands, apply lather to hair. Or alternatively rub bar directly onto hair and lather well (this works well for me - mid/long length hair).*
*When using the bars, one thing that is very important is to lather the soap up really well, and to use lots of lather when washing your hair. The most common spot, especially for people with long hair, is at the back of the head. You need to work the shampoo into your hair with water and lather up so that the dirt and extra oils not needed by your hair can be washed away.
If you are used to using normal commercial shampoo and shampoo twice, you will notice that the second wash produces a lot more lather. The first wash is mixing with the dirt and excess oil in your hair so the second wash is working on cleaner hair. The same is true for our shampoo bars. So lather up, once or twice. But please make sure to rinse every single time! And then make sure to use an apple cider vinegar hair rinse!
Massage lather into roots and through lengths of hair. Rinse out thoroughly.
You can also make your own hair rinses from water/cooled herbal tea (e.g. chamomile/nettle) with either lemon or apple cider vinegar mix. Ratio should be 4:1 (e.g. 200ml water/50ml apple cider vinegar).
Some find it helpful, to use the apple cider vinegar/herbal hair rinse conditioner before you wash your hair with the shampoo bars. Apply to hair, comb through and rinse out. Then follow shampoo steps above.

Beneficial Plant Properties:
Kokum butter is an anti-oxident power house. Packed full of stearic, palmitic + oleic acid, it provides a range of fatty acids and importantly, omega 6 + 9, which are said to fight the appearance of wrinkles, acne, and skin damage
Soybeans are said to reduce the appearance of dark spots and skin discoloration that are associated with aging. It is also thought that it can helps with redness caused either by rosacea or skin irritation
Our vegan Sodium lactate is a natural humectant that attracts + retains the skins moisture. Said to be twice as effective as natural Glycerin, it gives skin a healthy glow.
Castor oil is used in shaving soaps for its ability to create and hold a lather. With antimicrobial and anti-fungal properties, it works wonders for blemished or acne prone skin. It has astringent qualities that cleanses the pores, clearing away excess dirt, build up and old skin.
Shea Butter is a brilliant moisturiser. Packed full of essential fatty acids it helps to lock in moisture and improve skin's elasticity. It’s often used in skin care routines to improve the appearance of stretch marks and scaring, and for its deep moisturisation and natural anti-oxidant content.
Directions:
Scoop a Teaspoons worth into a separate pot and, using a warm wet shaving brush, gently swirl the surface of the soap until you make a nice frothy lather. Alternate the swirl direction every few moments to help work the lather into the brush’s bristles. Use the brush to apply the lather to your face and start shaving!

Ideally, it should be applied straight after a good shower or washing your face. At this time, your hair and skin have already soaked up moisture from the water and now with the heat your pores and hair follicles will be open. Making it easier for both skin and beard alike to absorb the oil and reap its benefits. All you need to do is drop few drops onto your fingers, rub it in your hands to warm it up. Ensure an even distribution across our beard, and then rub it deep into your beard. Don’t use too much, mind, or the hair won’t be able to absorb all the oil and it’ll sit on top which will leave you looking greasy. Combing or brushing the beard oil through your beard is always recommended to work the oil all the way along the length of the hairs and ensure there are no knots.
